Okinawa Electric Girl Saya
Born in Okinawa Prefecture in August 2000.
Currently active primarily in Tokyo, she creates a diverse range of music, including Okinawan music, pop, dance, folk, ambient, noise, and techno.
As of 2023, she has released four solo albums and three collaborative albums.
Her activities include performing with the noise band Hijokaidan as part of the unit “Sayakaidan,” composing the official theme song for the subculture hub Nakano Broadway, and collaborating with avant-garde music legend Keiji Haino in the unit “Seiko.“
She has also been actively involved in professional wrestling soundtracks, arranging DRAGONGATE’s 2022 theme song “SPACE GATE 2022” and writing and performing “Yuki Diamond” for D’Courage.
Internationally acclaimed, her works have been released through labels in Indonesia and Europe.
In October 2020, her album “Kuro no Tenshi” reached #1 on Russia’s iTunes J-Pop chart.
In March 2021, her album “Sogenji Gusuku Nu Nkashi” topped the iTunes J-Pop chart in the UK.
Her track “Himitsu no Vanilla” ranked #1 on the iTunes Instrumental charts in Canada (September 2021) and Sweden (November 2021).
