Francisco Giucci and Lorenzo Piriz Pereira have forged a path together where the roots of candombe, Latin, Afro, Funk, Jazz Fusion, and rare grooves merge, complemented by Hip Hop samples and any hidden gem that only they can find.
From an early age, each absorbed diverse influences – Francisco immersed himself in the world of sound and experimentation, while Lorenzo inherited an intriguing collection from his artist parents.
Both found in Barrio Sur and in candombe the very essence of their identity.
Yet, there is a certain magic that unfolds when they merge their trajectories, transforming them into a duo that transcends the sum of their parts.
Guajiros2001 is born from the track “Guajira2001” by Juan Pablo Torres, which they cherish as an anthem within their collection.

Born in 2000. Dancer and composer.
Based in Fukuoka, he works as a staff member at Kieth Flack, one of Kyushu’s key venues, while also organizing hertz, an experimental gathering centered around noise music.
His DJing explores new forms by collaging and reshaping rhythms and sounds in an improvisational manner.
In his productions, he consciously reconstructs noise that exists outside of awareness, transforming it into his own brand of industrial electronic music.
With a diverse range of activities, including live performances, DJ sets, and mix contributions both in Japan and abroad, he performed at rural 2024 last year.

Select One - History & Background
In 2013, the regular dance event “Rockin’ & Swing” was launched in Nagoya under the initiative of Ackee & Saltfish, bringing together selectors, MCs, and Dee Jays from various local sounds to champion the Rub A Dub Style.
Staying true to the spirit of 70s and 80s Rub A Dub, the concept was simple: selectors would play 7-inch or 12-inch records featuring singers’ original cuts, followed by the iconic call “Part Two Style!“, allowing Ackee & Saltfish, along with other Dee Jays and MCs, to take the mic and ride the version.
The collective that formed around this dance became known as Select One, laying the foundation for the crew as it exists today.
Following the early days of Rockin’ & Swing, members Toiken and Jabba carried on the legacy of Select One, curating selections that ranged from Rocksteady, Early Reggae, and Roots Rock to early digital Dancehall, always staying true to a Strictly Rub A Dub and Roots & Culture approach.
In 2015, Select One had the honor of sharing the stage with Ranking Joe, delivering an authentic 80s Rub A Dub Style session that earned praise from veteran Jamaican artists who had lived through that golden era.
Since then, Select One has had the opportunity to play alongside legendary artists such as Lone Ranger & Carlton Livingston, Josey Wales, and Shinehead, as well as collaborate with various sounds and artists from Japan and abroad.

On another front, she co-hosts “Stomp!!,” a club music party themed around indigenous music, inspired by explorations of tribal and organic sounds. Since 2012, operates the online select CD and vinyl shop “discos PAPKIN.“
In 2019, launched a label division within the shop, producing original works. The first release was a 7-inch single by the Latin band COPA SALVO.

Born in Miyagi, influenced by Okinawa, and now based in Tokyo, this passionate lover of world music connects grooves with a playful and unique style.
In 2000, a move to Ishigaki Island and the opening of a clothing and accessory shop, Asian Market Charm, sparked a journey into world music. It was here she discovered Thai Lukthung, Calypso, and Cumbia.
Her deep dive into Yaeyama classical folk songs earned her the Excellence Award in the Sanshin Division and the Newcomer Award in the Yokobue (Flute) Division at the Yaeyama Classical Folk Song Competition.
During her time working at Okinawa’s ’69 Record Shop and Tower Records, she encountered a wide range of music that shaped her eclectic style.
In 2013, she released the mix CD “Charmy★Calypso’s Cumbia,” reflecting her growing obsession with the addictive rhythms of Cumbia. Since then, she has relentlessly pursued new releases in the genre.
Currently, her sets focus on modern Cumbia, folk, Asian traditional music, and world sounds, often infused with edgy, chaotic elements or soothing tones. She also experiments with playing screw-style enka (Japanese ballads), adapting her sound to a variety of parties.

Since the 1990s, he has been captivated by Japanese music (“Wa-mono”) and has organized and participated in DJ events across Kansai.
Currently active in Kyoto, his focus is on Wa-mono, vintage music, and the 1960s scene.
His passion for monaural recordings from the 1950s has led him to appreciate their deeply resonant, natural sound, poetic lyrical expression, and the craftsmanship evident in their visuals, such as cut-and-paste fonts and two-tone printed sleeves, treating these 7-inch records as works of art.

Born in 1995, a Tokyo-based DJ.
Inspired by techno and bass music, she began her career exploring experimental sounds. Her sets delve into the intersection of mind-tripping atmospheres and physical energy, performing primarily at techno parties in Tokyo and various venues across Japan.
In 2022, she performed at Keep Hush Tokyo, followed by an appearance at FUTURE TERROR in 2023. She has also contributed slow and downbeat mixes to platforms like NTS Radio, continually refining her unique musical world.
In the winter of 2023, she launched “eulb,” a project focusing on experimental electronic music where machines, live bands, and dance music converge.

lllUUU (Rururu)
A musician based in Kumamoto.
Specializing in club-centric sounds like techno, experimental, and leftfield beats, she also explores a broad spectrum of avant-garde styles, including ambient, drone, and noise.
As part of the unit “Milky Lylei” with NIHIL D, she focuses on drone-centric live performances.
In 2023, the unit released a cassette tape titled “Milky Lylei” through the experimental label Bog Down Tapes.

A São Paulo-born and raised, third-generation Japanese-Brazilian trackmaker and DJ.
In 2016, he moved to Japan, working as a graphic designer while supporting artists such as Spaniol, M.RUX, Psilosamples, and Barrio Lindo during their Japan tours. At the same time, he began producing his own music.
In 2022, he released his debut album, “Running Wild,” featuring 10 carefully crafted tracks, on SABI Records.

Founder of the independent art collective A.N.D., navigating between percussive intensity and industrial coolness with an experimental spirit at its core.
Since 2016, she has managed the independent space ANAGRA in Hanzomon. In 2020, she launched the art collective A.N.D., collaborating with various artists on product creation, spatial design, visual direction, and party organization. Since around 2012, she has been DJing Latin American music such as cumbia and salsa, primarily using vinyl. She began performing at bars, clubs, restaurants, and outdoor events in her hometown of Osaka and across the Kansai region.
Driven by a curiosity for local music, she spent two months in Mexico and one month in Colombia in 2013, followed by a year in Argentina in 2019.
In 2020, she moved to Tokyo, where she began performing at events focused on Latin American and South American music.
As the COVID-19 pandemic began to ease in 2023, she started participating as a DJ at events featuring visiting international artists. That same year, she had her first overseas DJ performance in Mexico.

Upon returning to Japan, she began his DJ career using records she collected during the lockdown.
Currently, she organizes the event “EL SOL” irregularly at club buddha in her hometown of Nagoya.
Her style is rooted in electronic sounds such as minimal house, tribal techno, and dub techno, while incorporating elements of jazz, world music, and progressive rock, creating a trippy and exploratory musical landscape.

He began his career in the late 1990s club scene and has since shared the stage with Nagoya’s most seasoned and battle-tested veteran DJs.
Drawing significant influence from rock and pop, he channels it into soulful and disco-infused house music. True to his DJ name, he brings an atmosphere of joy, friendliness, and a profound love for music to the dance floor, continuing to delight audiences.

She spent most of her twenties working as a record store staff member and now, in her thirties, works in design while curating eclectic sets at Tokyo’s smaller venues.
She is also part of the DJ unit 0120 (Toll-Free) with AI.U, where they explore experimental expressions centered around club music.
As a solo artist, she has recently developed an interest in older music, focusing on records from the late 1950s to the 1960s. A DJ duo with a deep love for Japanese folk songs, dedicated to collecting, researching, and sharing traditional music from across Japan. They incorporate these folk melodies into their DJ sets and work on reissuing CDs and vinyl records.
Their notable releases include the mix series “Riyo Sanmyaku MIX VOL.1” through “VOL.4,” as well as curated projects like “Tanaka Shigeo Guji / Yumi Kagura” and “Sakaishi Nage Odori” (both supervised by EM Records).

A sonic storyteller and rhythm enthusiast, crafting euphoric rhythmic spaces that blend a sense of journey with sheer joy.
During his student years, he achieved national success as a conductor, igniting a passion for creating immersive atmospheres and shared narratives with diverse audiences, a pursuit to which he has since dedicated his life.
Since 2019, he has co-hosted Euphony with Kaoru Inoue, curating richly textured soundscapes at Aoyama ZERO every second Sunday of even months. From May 2021, for six months, he broadcasted a show under the same name on the UK’s WorldWideFM every second Monday of the month.
After 2020, he relocated his base of operations to Toyama Prefecture and launched the loosely-formed collective “Y”, focusing on creative activities across the Hokuriku region.
In 2021, he released his first remix dance track as a free download through SABI, a label led by Mamazu.

A pioneer of Japanese ambient DJs, he has been performing at numerous rave parties since the early 1990s.
He has participated in many bands, including SOFT, AOA, Based on Kyoto, and Churashima Navigator.
Founder of the Okinawa-based bass music label “budryukyu” and the Kyoto-based electronic music label “Matsunomi to Senso”.
As a mastering engineer, he has worked on vinyl mastering for labels such as 17853 Records and Crosspoint, contributing to various reissue projects.

Johannes Ichiki (ヨハネス市来)
Born in 1992, exactly three years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. After graduating from Waseda University, he began working at a record company.
He collects records under the theme of “Eastern European Groove,” researching jazz, rock, techno, and other music produced in the region referred to as Eastern Europe.
Active as a DJ and writer specializing in Eastern European music.
In 2023, he published “Eastern European Groove Disc Guide: In Search of Sounds Before the Revolution.”

Active as a DJ since the 1990s, performing at clubs, outdoor events, and various other venues.
Spanning genres like TECHNO, HOUSE, JAZZ, DUB, BASS, GORGE, TRIBAL, and more, he weaves his sets with a live, situational sensitivity that reflects the moment and place.
In recent years, he has delved into music production, increasingly showcasing his LIVE SETS.

In 2023, she launched her regular program “Tara Trip - Music Meditation -” on the Japanese branch of dublab, a nonprofit internet radio station based in Los Angeles.

In 2011, after a deep dive into psychedelic music, he found himself in Istanbul, where a 7-inch record he heard knocked him out and ignited his passion for collecting Turkish music records.

A musician based in Kumamoto.
Specializing in club-centric sounds like techno, experimental, and leftfield beats, she also explores a broad spectrum of avant-garde styles, including ambient, drone, and noise.
As part of the unit “Milky Lylei” with NIHIL D, she focuses on drone-centric live performances.
In 2023, the unit released a cassette tape titled “Milky Lylei” through the experimental label Bog Down Tapes.

Dj Himitsu is a producer and DJ fresh on the heels of his debut vinyl release on Australia’s Lunatic Music label (LM002).
Now he is based in London, dividing his time between playing the records and working with them.

In the mid-1990s, began DJing at Okinawa’s Hinotama Hall.
Later moved to Tokyo, becoming a member of the AUDIO SUTRA label and performing at various venues across the city, with a focus on Aoyama BLUE.
After returning to Okinawa, he now runs BAR MOHICAN in his hometown of Yonabaru.
He is also an active member of Churashima Navigator, performing live, DJing, and releasing albums both in Japan and internationally.
A 7-inch single is scheduled for release in 2024.

In the 1990s, he began his DJ career at an African restaurant while living in Seattle.
After returning to Japan, he launched dining-style events combining food and music at Powers, a restaurant & bar in Shinmaruko.
His activities have spanned managing Jazzy Sport Tokyo, overseeing cro-magnon, and organizing events.
