French Caribbean Oldies

A French-Caribbean mix by Makoto Adachi, a regular DJ at Nagoya’s world music party “Naruhodo Da World 2.“

This mix features tracks released in the 1960s and 70s from Haiti and the French overseas territories of Martinique and Guadeloupe. The first half focuses on Biguine and Merengue, while the latter half centers on Compas and Cadence.
